gendorf United\, the quintet led by Swedish saxophonist and composer Lina
 Langendorf\, blends spiritual jazz\, Afrobeat\, psychedelic sounds\, and E
thio-jazz into a rhythmically complex musical style. The five musicians\,
known from groups such as Fire!\, Tonbruket\, and the Trondheim Jazz Orche
stra\, focus on collective interplay\, improvisation\, and driving grooves
. Humor\, a joy of playing\, and curiosity shape their sound\, which draws
as much from African rhythms as it does from influences in soul and rock.
